Agents and AI

Manage a Tardis account and work with market data using an AI agent.

Connect with MCP

Add the Tardis MCP server to an AI agent:

https://api.tardis.dev/mcp

Codex CLI

codex mcp add tardis --url https://api.tardis.dev/mcp
codex mcp login tardis

Desktop app

Open Settings → MCP servers → Add server. Choose Streamable HTTP, name it tardis, paste the server URL, then save and restart. Select Authenticate to sign in.

Setup is shared between the CLI and desktop app on the same computer. Codex MCP setup

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http tardis https://api.tardis.dev/mcp

Run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in. Claude Code MCP setup

Claude app

Open Customize → Connectors → + → Add custom connector. Name it Tardis.dev, paste the server URL and select Add, then Connect. Claude connector setup

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "tardis": {
      "url": "https://api.tardis.dev/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Save the file, restart Cursor and sign in when prompted. Cursor MCP setup

Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP, and enter the server URL. Start the server in the MCP view, sign in, then use Copilot Chat in Agent mode. VS Code MCP setup

Connect without MCP (auth.md)

Use auth.md to connect an AI agent without MCP setup. It follows the open auth.md protocol for agent registration. The AI agent handles authorization and uses the OpenAPI specification for account operations.

An agent registered through auth.md acts with the permissions granted to it and the role of the person authorizing it:

  • Owner: can authorize account, billing, team and Data API key management.

  • Member: can authorize management of their own profile, email and sign-in sessions, and read access to the account, Data API keys and usage. Creating, rotating or revoking keys requires owner authorization.

These limits also apply when an auth.md registration is used over MCP. MCP connections authorized through browser sign-in use the user's current account membership and role permissions from WorkOS.

  • Review active sign-in sessions

  • Sign out of one session or all sessions

Review sessions

New subscriptions, payment-method updates and cancellations are confirmed in the browser. Available actions depend on the account role and permissions granted to the AI agent.

Market data

Ask an AI agent to write code to replay historical data or download CSV files with the Python and Node.js clients. The client libraries fetch the data directly.

Adapt the exchange, symbols and dates as needed. See the documentation index for more Markdown guides.
